Before you start anything make a mental map of your goals. Write it down. Is there a purpose to each action I take? Where can it take me? Where do I want to go?
I think a problem a lot of people have is that they float through life, just doing whatever comes up with no real direction. You aren’t one of those people. But you can’t get to where you want to be by wishing for it!
Goals are the key. Clear, defined, and plausible. Know your endpoint, and know all the tiny stepping stones you’ll need to climb to get there. When you’re confused, go back and read your goals and how you plan to get there (you know, the ones you’re writing right now.)
If you keep your goals in mind, they keep you excited. “Right now it’s hard, but eventually I’ll get to ______”. If you don’t have goals to work towards, it’s easy to get confused and discouraged. So don’t let it happen!
Quote of the Day:
“The first step to getting somewhere is to decide you are not going to stay where you are.”
