The news of Robin Williams’ death hit home like the death of a friend. With tributes
and condolences pouring in from everywhere it’s like the world is in mourning.
Like we have all lost someone close to us. Robin Williams was one of those rare
people that had the ability to reach all the way through whatever screen he was
on and touch the lives of those he performed for. It’s true he didn’t always choose
the greatest roles, but he had more stand out genius performances than just
about anyone else. He was an unparalleled genius that captured the hearts and
imaginations of all. So today instead of mourning his passing, I’d like to celebrate
Thank you Robin Williams for never reigning it in. For those full-out, crazy, mad cap
performances, for making our jaws drop in wonder at the brilliance of your work.
Thank you for Aladdin, Dead Poets Society, Fischer King, Mrs. Doubfire, Jumanji,
What Dreams May Come – a few of my personal favorites.
Yes, words and ideas can change the world. So too can people. You were one of those
heart-touching, world changing people. Thank you for inviting us into your world.
